After a rough couple of weeks we were looking forward to getting out to Sonoma for a road race. We were looking for a solid top-10 run to get some momentum back for our team after some terrible finishes of late. Michigan was so bad, when I left the track I also left the race there with it. I apologize to those of you who were looking for a blog all week…I simply did not know what to say. The one thing about racing that stresses me out the most is getting into accidents. I know crashing is part of it, but I work really hard to keep Juan and our car out of trouble. As many of you know we did have a crash today and it made me really angry. I don’t know what I or Juan could have done differently. It is all spur of the moment decisions. Last week in Dover we were heros for avoiding a huge crash and this week we get into one. The 07 car spun directly in front of us directly in the middle of the track and there was little time to judge where he was going and we hit him resulting in a huge fire.

This was a long week leading up to the race at Dover. We had a two-day test at Pocono and then traveled straight to Dover. Even though we had the team plane to travel on, I rode in the hauler from Pocono to Dover since it was only a three hour trip! It was pretty cool and I had a lot of fun. Even though practice went really well, qualifying didn’t. After qualifying 35th we had two more practices the following day to get things better.Read all of Top 12 After Avoiding a Huge Wreck at Dover
